As a writer and author, Gillian M. Berrow made her entrance to Friendship is Magic with “Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell”, the first in a now long running series of 23 (and counting) official chapter books! Particularly adventurous mare Daring Do got her creative treatment, resulting in the Daring Do Collection novels. Writing everyone’s favorite ponies was right up Gillian’s alley and she applied with her ideas for the show itself, which brought fans great episodes such as “The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows”, “Daring Done?” and the recent “The Point of No Return”. Gillian is a busy bee and didn’t stop there – She has also authored over 30 Equestria Girls web shorts and the Celestia series “Fundamentals of Magic”.
Outside the realm of colorful ponies, her credits include production assistance on shows such as “The Good Wife” and “Law & Order”, ghostwriting children’s and young adults’ novels for shows such as “Glee”, and last but definitely not least writing for Lauren Faust’s recently debuted TV show “DC Superhero Girls”.
